Navoi

Navoi is a practical hub between Bukhara, Samarkand, Nurata, and the Kyzylkum desert. The city itself is modern by Uzbek standards, but it is valuable for route planning because it opens access to desert landscapes, caravan history, and regional excursions.

For most itineraries, Navoi works best when its role is clear: a regional base, a transfer point with meaning, or a slower stop that adds contrast to Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and Tashkent. The value is often in local context and route logic rather than in rushing through a long checklist.
